With this application, you have the ability to mount any directory on your phone, including the memory card, as a drive on Windows or Linux. Additionally, you can utilize a WebDAV client to navigate through a phone directory.

This application has undergone testing using Windows 8 Explorer (should also be compatible with Windows 7 but not supported on Windows XP) and the WebDAV client Bitkinex. You can download this client from Bitkinex.

You will find a lock setting that allows you to specify how the device should remain awake while the server is operational. There are three available modes:

• New locks used:
• *SCREEN_DIM_WAKE_LOCK: Existing mode. Screen remains on, leading to higher energy consumption. This mode is suggested if the connection is unstable.
• *WIFI_MODE_FULL: New mode. Screen turns off, reducing energy usage while the server is running; however, data connection may drop. Not recommended for extended use.
• *WIFI_MODE_FULL_HIGH_PERF: New mode available on Android versions >= 3.1. Screen remains off, resulting in lower energy consumption compared to the first mode. While recommended for energy conservation, issues may arise, and reverting to the default lock mode might be necessary.

To establish a connection with the WebDAV server using a USB cable:

This method can be helpful when a USB cable is available but a network connection is not accessible.

1. On your phone, navigate to Settings->Applications->Development and enable "USB debugging."
2. Connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable.
3. Start ADB server. On your PC, execute the command "adb start-server."
4. Forward necessary ports from your PC to your phone by running the command "adb forward tcp:8080 tcp:8080." This forwards connections from your PC at 127.0.0.1:8080 to your phone's port 8080.
5. Run the WebDAV server on your phone, access settings, and choose "Loopback (127.0.0.1)" under "Network interfaces."
6. Initiate the WebDAV server.
7. On your PC, connect your WebDAV client to http://127.0.0.1:8080 (the port may vary based on your WebDAV Server configuration).

Permissions required:

• INTERNET
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

The network permission facilitates server communication with WebDAV clients.

• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

This permission enables the WebDAV server to write received files from WebDAV clients to the SD card.

• WAKE_LOCK

The Wake Lock permission maintains the phone awake only while the server is active; if the phone sleeps, the WebDAV server becomes inaccessible.

Issues with handling large files:

If you encounter challenges managing large files, it may be attributed to limitations in the Windows WebDAV client. To address this issue and increase the file size limit supported by the client:

1. You must enable BasicAuth via regedit to allow access to the App's server using a username and password:
